These tactile blocks, made from wooden offcuts and with assorted materials glued on are a wonderful way for young fingers to explore an array of tactile delights and learn about colours and shapes.

You don’t need to limit the materials to cloth you could also use the following:

Bubble wrap

Plastic

Foam

Bottle tops

Sand paper

Kitchen pot scourers

Wrapping paper

Cardboard

Styrofoam

Cotton wool (just watch baby doesn’t sick this)
